This digital knitting pattern for Nautical Bunting makes a very jaunty set of flags and bunting to brighten any party or room. 

The 8 page, illustrated pattern is an intermediate knit and produces 7 pennants of approx 14 x 16 cm. Completed in Sirdar Snuggly DK, they are soft to touch and economical to make.

Skill Level:            Intermediate

Skills Needed:        Provisional cast on, garter stitch, increase/decrease stitches, stranded colour work, cast (bind) off, seam. 



1 x 50g Sirdar Snuggly DK Flamenco 242 (R)

2 x 50g Sirdar Snuggly White 251 (W)

1 x 50g Sirdar Snuggly Indigo Mix 353 (B)

A pair of single point size 4mm (US size 6) Knitting Needles

A Tapestry Needle

Approx. 170cm of 8mm wide silver woven tubular or similar cord

A small amount of Sellotape to wrap round and neaten the cut cord ends.



The yarn is used double thickness and the pennants are backed to hide the colour working. The 7 pennants made fit an average fireplace, but any number of pennants can be made by adjusting the yarn and cord requirements. Pennant Size: Approx. 14 x 16cm. Tension is not crucial to this project.
