This Iced Custard Tart Slice is a fun, easy make and forms an instantly recognisable addition to any collection of play food, display food or pin cushions.
I worked the one size, 4 page pattern in Patons Fab Double Knitting, but it is equally suitable for making from other double knit oddments and makes a great stash buster.
Perfect for individual collections or for selling at fundraising fairs, a collection of these tarts looks as inviting as the real thing...
These tart slices are quick and easy to make and are perfect for children’s imaginative play - particularly in toy kitchens - or for kids’ tea parties, teddy bear or doll picnics.
They're great for stimulating learning, whether through counting games or as a teaching resource.
Safe when thrown or dropped, they are also washable at a low temperature.
Other uses could include display or decoration, or as pin cushions...
